Overview

Latvia taxes company profits only when they are paid out, so a Latvian limited liability company (SIA) can reinvest everything it earns. What most founders need is a company that can start trading quickly: we deliver a ready-made SIA with a Riga address, bank account support and accounting in place, fully remotely and without any travel to Latvia.
A ready-made SIA transferred to you, so you start without waiting for a new registration
A registered address in Riga, meeting the legal requirement for every company
Help choosing a bank or EU fintech account and preparing the application
A VAT-active company on request, with an EU VAT number to invoice clients from day one
Accounting with our partner accountants, from the first transactions to the annual report
Everything signed remotely, with no travel to Latvia and all documents prepared for you
Choose a ready-made company to start at once, a VAT-active company with an EU VAT number from day one, or a new registration in your own name. Whichever you choose, we check your structure, prepare every document and coordinate the registry, bank and tax steps for you. MAXCORP hands over a working company, not just a registration, and remains your local team for accounting, changes and banking after registration.
Why Latvia
Profits kept in the company are untaxed; 20% income tax applies only on distribution.
No nationality or residency rules for the shareholders or board members of an SIA.
A ready-made SIA is already registered, so only the owner and board change.
A reduced-capital SIA from €1 is possible for up to five individual shareholders.
No. 2
Latvia ranks second among OECD countries in the 2025 International Tax Competitiveness Index, after Estonia.

A ready-made Latvian SIA transferred to you with the essentials in place: a registered address in Riga, help choosing a bank or EU fintech account and preparing the application, and accounting set up with our partner accountants. You can start working in Latvia without waiting for a new registration.
A ready-made SIA is already entered in the Register of Enterprises, so there is no wait for a new registration in Latvia. If you need a specific name, the company can be renamed after the transfer through a registry amendment.
A ready-made company that is already registered for VAT in Latvia. Its VAT number is valid across the EU, so you can invoice EU business clients from day one without waiting for a VAT registration. Availability is limited, so please ask us for the current options.
The operational company package starts from €2,500 and a VAT-active company from €4,500. A new registration on its own starts from €1,480, with the setup services added separately. Running costs: mail handling and forwarding on request, accounting and tax reporting on request and business consultation with a lawyer €280 per hour. We provide a detailed quote for your project.
Yes. Latvian law sets no nationality or residency requirement for shareholders or board members, and the Register of Enterprises confirms that non-residents may own an SIA. Opening a bank account depends on each bank’s own onboarding rules.
No. Board members can live anywhere. A board member without a residence in Latvia gives the Register of Enterprises an address where they can be reached. An SIA can have a single board member, who may also be its only shareholder.
You sign the power of attorney before a notary public in your country. For use in Latvia it usually also needs an apostille if your country has joined the Hague Apostille Convention, or consular legalisation if it has not.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, public documents from EU and EEA countries, Switzerland and the UK need neither. Documents in another language need a certified Latvian translation, which we arrange.
Yes, for a new registration, subject to availability: the name must be distinguishable from existing names and use Latvian or Latin letters. Check it in the Register of Enterprises search, and we confirm it before filing. A ready-made company can be renamed after the transfer.
Yes. The company’s legal address must be in Latvia and is shown in the register. The filing names the premises and confirms the owner’s consent and that the company can be reached there. Our packages include a registered address in Riga.
For a new registration, the share capital is paid before filing into an account opened in the name of the company being founded. Latvian banks apply their own onboarding checks and decide on each application. For a quick start, most of our clients open an account online with EU providers such as Revolut, Wise or Paysera, and add a local bank later. We support you through both.
Every SIA files an annual report with the State Revenue Service, within 5 months of the year end for micro and small companies. Enterprise income tax is declared monthly or quarterly, and VAT returns follow once the company is registered for VAT. Our accounting partners can handle all of it.
Usually 1 to 2 weeks from the point we have received all required documents, including the signed power of attorney. That covers preparing and translating the documents, filing, and processing by the Register of Enterprises (up to 3 working days).
